Pork Floss Recipe

(Thit Heo Kho Tieu)

Ingredients : Serves 6 - 8

Lean pork chops

Water

Nuoc cham sauce

Sugar

Spring onions (scallions), thinly sliced

Ground black pepper

Method :
  • Remove skin and bones from pork chops.

  • Cut meat into flossy thin strips.

  • Put meat into a small deep saucepan.

  • Add all other ingredients and bring to boil over high heat.

  • Cook for 2 minutes on high heat, stir constantly, then reduce heat to medium and cook for another 20 minutes or until liquid is completely absorbed.

  • Stir towards end of cooking time so that meat will not get burnt. Remove from saucepan once it turns brown.

  • Serve with white rice and vegetables or with salad.
