Stir-Fried Beef with Vegetable Shreds Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 4

Marinade :

1/4 teaspoon

2 teaspoons

1 tablespoon

2 teaspoons

1 teaspoon


Seasoning :

1/4 teaspoon

1 tablespoon


1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

Beef, shredded

Green capsicums, thinly shred

Carrots, thinly shred

Bamboo shoots, thinly shred

Shallots, chopped

Garlic, finely chopped


Oil for cooking (add more if required)



Baking soda



Soy sauce

Chopped ginger




Soy sauce

MSG (optional)

Cooking wine

Sesame oil

Method :
  • Marinade beef for 1 hour.

  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan.

  • Sauté beef till color changes. Remove and set aside.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in pan and fry shallots and garlic till fragrant.

  • Put in green capsicums and fry for 1 minute.

  • Add carrots, bamboo shoots and water. Stir-fry to mix.

  • Return beef to pan and add salt, soy sauce and MSG.

  • Continue stir-frying till all ingredients are well mixed.

  • Stir in sesame oil and wine.

  • Dish up and serve hot.
