Barbecued Chicken Skewers Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 6-8

Marinade :

60 ml

3-4 cloves

Bamboo skewers

Chicken chunks

Tomato or banana ketchup

 

 

Vinegar

Garlic, crushed

Small onion, diced

Small chili, chopped

Salt

Pepper

Method :
  • Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes then set aside.

  • To prepare the Marinade, combine the vinegar, garlic, onion, chili, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.

  • Marinade chicken for 2-3 hours

  • Drain the chicken and reserve Marinade. Combine the Marinade with tomato and banana ketchup.

  • Place in a wok and bring to the boil. Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Thread 3-4 chicken chunks onto each skewer. Heat a griller to medium. Grill the skewered chicken for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.

  • When lightly browned, brush the chicken chunks with the reserved Marinade.

  • Continue grilling until chicken is fully cooked, about 3-5 more minutes.
