Squid Salad Recipe

(Goi Muc)

Ingredients : Serves 4

Rice vinegar

Salad dressing

Shrimp crackers, deep fried



Squid, cleaned

Ginger knob, peeled and julienned

Onion, peeled and thinly sliced

Mint leaves, finely chopped



White sesame seeds, toasted

Red chili, seeded and julienned

Method :
  • Cut squid crosswise into narrow sections.

  • Fill a pot with water, add a little salt and rice vinegar and bring to the boil.

  • Blanch squid quickly for 2 minutes then place in ice so squid stays crunchy.

  • Combine salad ingredients with squid in a large bowl. Toss well with salad dressing.

  • Serve with shrimp crackers and garnish with sesame seeds and chili.
