Sweet Banana and Jackfruit Spring Rolls Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 6

Ripe cooking bananas


Spring roll wrappers

Dark brown sugar or palm sugar


Cooking oil

Toasted sesame seeds

Method :
  • Slice each banana in half lengthwise.

  • Skin and cut the jackfruit into 12 strips, equal in length to the sliced bananas.

  • Steam the spring roll wrappers for about 1 minute or until soft.

  • In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar with the water. To prepare the rolls, brush the edges of each wrapper with the sugar mixture.

  • Place one banana and one jackfruit strip on each wrapper. Sprinkle with brown sugar, then roll each wrapper and press the edges together to seal.

  • Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan. Fry each roll over low heat until golden brown.

  • Remove from pan and roll in toasted sesame seeds.

  • Place on a paper towel to drain and serve warm.
