Claypot Pepper Pork Recipe

(Thit Kho Tieu)

Lean pork, sliced

Fish sauce

Sugar

Caramel syrup

Ground black pepper

Red chili, finely chopped

Spring onion, white portion only, finely chopped

Salt

Cooking oil

Water or stock

Method :
  • Marinade pork with fish sauce, sugar, caramel syrup, pepper, chili, spring onion and salt for 1 hour.

  • Heat oil in a claypot and saut� pork for 5 minutes.

  • Add water or stock and bring to the boil.

  • Lower heat and simmer until liquid evaporates and meat is cooked.

  • Sprinkle some pepper over and serve with steamed rice.
