Crispy Beef Slices Serves with a Spicy Dip Recipe

Dip

Fillet steak, cut across the grain into thin slices 5cm long

Eggs. beaten

Sesame seed oil

Nuoc Mam sauce (optional)

Sugar

Root ginger, finely minced

Rice wine or dry sherry

Vegetable oil for deep frying

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Corn flour

Chili oil

Method :
  • Mix the dip ingredients thoroughly in a bowl and set aside.

  • Mix all the other ingredients except the corn flour in a second bowl and allow to marinade for 1 hour before cooking.

  • Dredge the beef slices in corn flour.

  • In a wok, deep fry a few pieces at a time until golden brown.

  • The color comes form the corn flour and not the beef.

  • Drain and put on a dish and serve with the chili dip.
