1 teaspoon
Tamarind pulp, soaked in 60 ml warm water
Ginger, grated or crushed
Soft brown sugar or palm sugar
Salt
Ground cumin
Ground fennel
Soaked the tamarind pulp into 60 ml of water water.
Strain the mixture.
Add the ginger, brown sugar, salt, cumin and fennel into the mixture.
Stir constantly to dissolve the sugar and salt.
Transfer to a sauce bowl.
