Vietnamese Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients :

Castor sugar

Lime or lemon juice

Japanese rice vinegar

Fish sauce

Water

Garlic, sliced

Large red chili, sliced

Method :
  • Mix the sugar with the lemon juice, vinegar, fish sauce and water.

  • Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves.

  • Pour the mixture into a blender or food processor.

  • Add garlic and chili then blend until fine.

  • Pour into a bowl and allow the pink froth to settle and disappear before serving.

  • Serve as a dipping sauce with Vietnamese beef and herb rice paper rolls, if desired.
