Steamed Cabbage with Crab Meat Sauce Recipe

Chinese cabbage, washed and cut into big pieces

Shrimps, shelled and washed

Crab meat

Mushrooms, soaked and sliced

Green peas

Young ginger, finely chopped

Shallots, finely chopped

Egg, beaten


Corn flour (mixed with 2 tablespoons of water)




Anchovies stock powder

Sesame oil

Soya sauce

Oyster sauce


Method :
  • Arrange Chinese cabbage neatly into a big bowl.

  • Steam on high heat for about 40 minutes till soft.

  • Remove and pour out the water.

  • Invert vegetables into deep serving plate.

  • Heat up oil, saut´┐Ż chopped ginger and garlic till fragrant.

  • Add shrimps and mushrooms.

  • Pour all the mixture ingredients and bring it to boil.

  • Add crab meats, green peas and simmer for another 5 minutes.

  • Thicken the liquid with beaten egg and corn flour which have been mixed with 2 tablespoons of water.

  • Pour onto the vegetables and serve hot.
